The Early Clannad was very rootsy, folksy and the music is great. Later and today they drifted more into New Age type of music which I personally don't care for to each his own. but their early music is very traditional and good stuff. This is an excellent collection. 0 out of 5 stars Beginnings: The Best of the Early Years purchased on . Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2012. Clannad is one of my favorite Irish groups. This album is outstanding and I really enjoy hearing this group at the outset of their long career
